How To Develop A Millionaire Mindset.

Many of us want to cross the threshold and join the exclusive ‘millionaire status’. As deceivingly beautiful as it sounds, it’s not really that easy. It all comes down to this.

Do you have what it takes to be a millionaire?

Millionaires mindsets show trends in characteristics and behavior with a few ones crossing across boards and proving impossible to ignore. To be a millionaire, you should try emulating other millionaires mindsets.

On this post, I cover the important basics with you. Do check where and what you need to learn and improve to help you shape your brain into thinking the way millionaires do.

1. Millionaires do not only dream/wish. They start.

Many of us insist that we have great ideas, if done… Well you’ll just see.

Uhm… No. It doesn’t work like that.

You do not get to impress with your creative idea if you just imagine it and dream of it the whole time. If it stays in your head, if it’s not done, then it’s as good as non existent, elusive, alien.

Millionaires take the first steps into making it happen, however small. The important thing is to get the ball rolling. Most ideas in our heads seem very creative and impossible to start at the same time.

My advice? Break it down into small do-able pieces and start from the bottom. Set a plan, tick items as you go. Become a doer, become a starter. You’ll find yourself motivated as you see yourself moving up the steps.

2. Millionaires have goals and ambition.

Yes. Okay, so you want to become a millionaire. How?

Millionaires have visions, missions, ambitions. They didn’t wake up one morning and decided they wanted to be rich.

They had a vision so clear, they would do anything to achieve it.

Ask yourself why you want to be a millionaire and let the answer drive you to success . Have an ambition. Dream big. This is to keep you going. To keep you constantly motivated on your journey.

Elon Musk is the perfect example for this. He didn’t stop dreaming big after creating the self-driving Tesla Cars. No. His new mission? Get people on Mars.

Some millionaires have aimed to change lives, they’ve aimed to impact their societies positively, they’ve created new ways of solving problems. They came up with admirable visions, and yes, initially they seem hard. Don’t let that stop you.

My advice? If it’s too overwhelming, set smaller goals and achieve those, as you go, aim higher and higher. Get a vision and fight to achieve it. And if you can fall in love with what you want to do, the better for you.

3. Millionaires take risks.

They are not afraid of failure. They recognize the probability of failure and decide to take the risk anyway. They know that with the chance of failure, comes the chance of success. It’s not always rainbows and unicorns. With life comes challenges, and millionaires are not spared either.

Do not fool yourself into thinking that the millionaire life is a smooth ride. It gets tougher. Adapt to change, learn to become flexible.

Steve Jobs’ idea got laughed at and rejected many times before his idea got accepted, Colonel Sanders, known for his KFC food chains and recipe became successful after he was fifty, Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of Havard to focus on his goals, Walt Disney grew up poor, his first studio went bankrupt, but with great ambition, came his great success. What do all the above have in common? They took risks.

Advice? Sometimes it will take some time for your success to show, Sometimes you will fall, so be patient, when you fall. Get back up and dust yourself. Move, walk, crawl even. It’s important to struggle to move after failure, do not wallow in self pity.

Learn to appreciate challenges and aim to solve them.

4. Millionaires have consistency and dedication.

They have developed a comfortable consistent routine, they know that in order to achieve their goals, they have to set a plan and follow up consistently.

This requires a high level of self discipline. Set your time according to your priorities. Do not waste your time, procrastination is an enemy to success.

Don’t get me wrong, rest is extremely important. Do not work obsessively. Take time off for yourself and your loved ones. This is vital to a successful person. After all what is the point of success if your drained and unhappy.

Advice? Master balance between your priorities and rest. Sleep well, eat well. Keep your health and body in check. A good combination of these will help you into your journey of achieving success.

If you’re having trouble with self discipline, again, start small, start with the small achievable things. Can I wake up at such a time? Can I allocate this time for this? Can I sleep at this time? (Your wake up and sleep time should be as regular as possible.)

5. To achieve financial success, surround yourself with positive people.

Why is this important? The people in our surrounding greatly influence our behaviors and capabilities. They rub off on you. Unconsciously we tend to pick up the character and behavior of the people around us.

If you have creative, supportive and ambitious friends, your bound to be like them. You’ll end up being incredibly inspired and motivated to also achieve your goals.

Positive friends will remind you of your goals when you loose psych. They’ll help you get back on your feet faster when you fall. They’ll help you believe in yourself by believing in you.

And lastly, it’s all in your brain. You’ve got this. You can do it.
